St. Stephens Resource Center
The mission of the Resource Center
To provide immediate basic aid to those in need in such a way that they become more independent as they receive the assistance that they require.The scope of the aid that the Resource Center can provide includes
- Food pantry
- Grocery certificates
- Toiletries
- Bus tokens
- School supplies
- Jackets
- And most importantly, referrals information to agencies that can provide specific assistance to help guide our clients back to independence.
The Resource Center provides a message center and mail address for those not in a permanent home location.
Each year the Resource Center serves hundreds of clients, directly addressing their needs for assistance.
Hours of operation are:
Monday 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Tuesday 9:00 am to 11:00 am
Thursday 9:00 am to 11:00 am
The Resource Center is thankfull to everyone who has made donations. We are always in need of underwear, socks, shoes, and jackets---all of which may be new or second hand. In May we are especially in need of socks.
Summer has just started but school will be back in session before you can blink your eyes. the Resource Center has teaditinally helped our clients to provide school supplies for their children. We are in need of backpacks, notebooks, paper, pens, pencil boxes, and all the pther stuff children need when going back to school. Please bring you donation to church, a basket will be provided. If you would like us to do the shopping, make your check payable to St. Stephen's Resource Center/School Supplies
